Glenn, I've not been on facebook in almost two weeks and something told me to go on this evening! I love your memory piece of Moville in the 50's and 60's! Meantime, you've proven my theory about life in general. Even in our small sphere of the Moville community, my life was entirely different from yours, the town kid activities, what you parents did, who you knew and played with, who your parents' friends were, and that you had babysitters. The shows you got to watch the one I Lead Three Lives I've never heard of. I didn't know that the popcorn wagon was open on Friday nights, too. The sledding hill, that actual camping happened in Lover's Lane and there was a scout cave! Who knew??? You've GOT to submit this to the MR, please. Did you tell your mom? She'll appreciate it for sure.

It's been a long time I've had the time to browse around the net. I confess that I don't know what the Hyperion Refinery is even. Is it a new oil refinery? As far as Christmas lights and folks attending church I guess either or both can be social Christians or religious Christians. It's wonderful to fill pews for sure. Sitting in the pew is laudible, but doesn't necessarily make one an authentic Christian. Or one can neither put up Christmas lights or sit in a church service to actually be a true Christian, but especially the latter can certainly aid and keep one focused on what it takes to remain faithful.

Your grocery-buying concept and practice is very thoughtful and supportive. I wish you'd write that up in the MRecord in "Thoughts of Home' to give others the same idea, but there aren't many who seem to care to share their ideas ,opinions and memories. It's gratifying to see how my hometown community achieved this huge project. I was glad to be a small part of it in memorials and donations. That really turned out well for our class reunion. I was pleased with that. Were we the only alumni who did something formal for the grocery store?

Mother and I (from Omaha) stopped by the new grocery store on our last visit to town, and were very impressed! What a great addition to the town. Granted, nothing can ever replace the "Huntings" of my childhood, but this was a good 'second best'!

"Surviving Mr. Bridges is a large extended family including his daughter, Beth Eileen Bridges and his sons, Adam Parker Bridges, Channing Meier Bridges, Gregory T. Tsuffis, and Lee B. Tsuffis, and ten grandchildren. His wife, Mary Lee Tsuffis, preceded him in death in September 2003. His granddaughter, Danielle Bridges, preceded him in death in 2006."

Gene and Mary Lee did not pick and choose who to consider 'family'. They loved 'em all!

RIP Gene and Mary Lee. It is comforting to know you are together again.

Its hard for me to understand exactly how the pool can cost so much to run, Figuring in insurence, water, electricity, employees, and chemicals I just can not come close to operating at 4000 a week when the entry implys thats just the short fall. I believe thsi could be looked in to a great deal more and cost could be greatly reduced. As for the police I dont understand with the great State Patrole and Sheriff presence in the town why we need an officer anyway? I only see them in the evnings, I cant imagine the few trafic tickets they write can come close to justifying there presence. Why not let the sheriff handle the police action. And lastly I will end with trash collection. If the city is spending so much in trash collection and the 10 dollars charged to residents plus the land fill surcharge is not covering it why dont we discontinue city trash service and allow competition to take place and resident choose wheather to use a trash collection service and pay out of pocket or should they make weekly trips to the dump to dispose of that trash?
